ISWA and be Waste Wise are delighted to announce a strategic partnership to create and broadcast a series of online trainings which will address today’s most pressing global waste challenges.

The online training will use be Waste Wise’s platform to bring ISWA’s expertise to a digital audience and influence the global discussion on wastes, resources, and the circular economy. They will cover a wide area of know-how and expertise, from the 4th Industrial Revolution up to closing the world’s dumpsites and from the advances of Circular Economy up to informal sector recyclers.

“Our cooperation will stimulate easy and free access to ISWA’s expertise and vast scientific and technical resources. We hope that we will be able to make thousands of professionals, scientists, researchers and students, especially in the developing world, more Waste Wise.” Said ISWA President Antonis Mavropoulos.

The global issue of waste requires access to relevant knowledge and best practice and ISWA and be Waste Wise hope to engage the global community to support a wider audience in addressing these issues.

“As our planetary challenges worsen, we still spend too much money in creating lengthy PDF reports but none to make sure they actually make an impact. be Waste Wise's innovative knowledge dissemination model and ISWA's strong global network can address the need for collective action and continued capacity building at scale. As we traverse this less trodden path together, I hope others will too.” Said Ranjith Annepu, co-founder of be Waste Wise.

The first online training will be live on Thursday 15th February 2018 with Antonis Mavropoulos discussing the impacts of China’s recent recycling import ban, invitations will follow very soon. We will announce the full schedule of topics and discussions very soon.
