ISWA Project Grant

In accordance with an agreement between ISWA and the City of Vienna, a specified budget is provided to ISWA to fund projects that strengthen ISWAs technical and scientific profile, international recognition and influence.

The Project Grant provides a means for ISWA to promote global advancement in sustainable waste management by selectively funding projects that most effectively contribute to the strategic priority areas set by ISWA.

Call for projects

The ISWA Project Grant call for projects is now closed.


Only proposals submitted by ISWA Regional Development Networks, National Members, Working Groups and Task Forces are eligible for funding.
Co-funded projects are encouraged.

Application procedure

Applications will only be accepted that have been submitted using the application form below; properly completed; and received within the given deadline. The selection procedure is competitive to ensure the best utilisation of the ISWA Project Grant. The main objective of the selection process is to have a transparent, uniform and clear decision making process for the sound use of the ISWA Project Grant. Selection will be conducted by the selection committee in January with final approval by the ISWA Board. Successful applications will be informed around the end of January 2014.
