AI and robotics are powerful tools to enhance the recovery and recycling of materials from waste. To explore their challenges and opportunities, ISWA joined the consortia of the EU projects and , focused on separating valuable materials from waste streams. As part of its dissemination activities, iBot4CRMs will take part in the 2026 edition of the European Robotics Forum.
The is the leading event for the European robotics and AI community, and allow for the exploration cutting-edge technologies, while fostering collaboration and addressing the latest challenges and trends shaping the future of robotics in Europe.
Next year’s edition will be hosted by , the leading research institute coordinating the , in which ISWA is a key partner. Taking place in Stavanger, Norway, from March 23rd to 27th, the event will feature multiple sessions, talks, poster presentations, and workshops. One of the workshops will be focused on AI & Robotics for CRMs recovery and Urban Mining, led by the iBot4CRMs project, in collaboration with ISWA.
