SUMMARY:Meeting | ISWA Working Group Healthcare Waste
DESCRIPTION:The Working Group on Healthcare Waste (WGER) addresses the collection\, treatment and disposal of waste derived from healthcare services and/or products. The group emphasizes safety and proper disposal\, as well waste minimization and other appropriate options for resource recovery when it makes sense. \nThe meeting will take place on the 27th April\, 10:00 – 12:00 in Istanbul – see below for venue details. \nAlong with the meeting\, the working group has also organized a full day session on the 28th April\, as part of the overall IFAT Eurasia conference program. International speakers as well as local representatives from the Turkish Ministry of Environment and the Turkish National Committee for Solid Waste will be addressing local healthcare waste issues in Turkey\, international perspectives\, and some of the latest innovative case studies and technologies from the industry. Please see below for the Draft session program. \nThis meeting is a closed meeting for ISWA WGHCW appointed members only. Should you wish to attend\, please join ISWA as an Organizational or National Member\, either appoint a member (number of members contingent on level of membership)\, or join as an individual member and apply to join the working group.
