DESCRIPTION:Programme and Speakers\n			\n			 \n				\n				\n				\n				Programa y Panelistas\n			\n			 \n				\n				\n				\n				Registration Page\n			\n			 \n				\n				\n			 \n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Globalmente\, no existe duda de que los residuos peligrosos y hospitalarios tienen que ser tratados previamente a su disposición final\, sin embargo\, debido a regulaciones inespecificas\, falta de conocimiento o ambiguedad\, esto no esta occuriendo en algunas regiones del mundo y en ocasiones estos residuos terminan en rellenos sanitarios sin ningun tipo de tratamiento previo. Esto representa un gran riesgo ambiental y de salud para el público en general y también para los trabajadores de los rellenos sanitarios asi como los recolectores informales que obtienen sus ingresos de recolectar y vender materiales de los rellenos. \nPor lo tanto\, el grupo de la ISWA de Residuos Peligrosos y el grupo de Residuos Hospitalarios hacen esta colaboracion para explicar las practicas para manejar estos residuos\, las tecnologias disponibles para este proposito y remarcar el estado actual del régimen regulatorio en este campo y los cambios necesarios en el contexto Latinoamericano. \nLos grupos de trabajo de la ISWA abordaran estos temas y más en este próximo Webinar el 19 de Octubre. \n…………………………………………………………………………………………………………… \nGlobally there is no doubt that Healthcare Waste and Hazardous Waste need to be treated prior to disposal\, however\, due to unspecific regulations\, lack of knowledge or ambiguity\, this is not happening\, and they end up being landfilled without any prior treatment whatsoever.
