ISWA - TU Wien Summer School on Energy and Fuels from Solid Waste 2019

9-20 September 2019 Vienna, Austria

The two-week academic Summer School returns again to the Technical University of Vienna (TU Wien) this year.  The programme covers basics of integrated solid waste management, planning, design, developments and different technological and environmental aspects of energy recovery from waste.

In particular, two technologies – energy recovery through direct combustion and utilization of refuse-derived fuels in the industry – will be discussed with special emphasis on material and energy flows, waste characterization, practical applications and case studies.

TU Wien is set in the heart of the City of Vienna, the number 1 most liveable city, with great infrastructure and diverse cultural opportunities according to the Mercer Study 2018. The city is very clean and many homes and facilities enjoy district heating and energy provided by waste incineration plants. Experience the city for yourself, and benefit from high quality training in a collegial atmosphere.
