IFAT India: Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Refuse and Recycling

IFAT India is India's leading environmental trade fair for water, sewage, refuse and recycling.

The next edition of IFAT India will take place in Mumbai from October 15 - 17, 2018 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC).


IFAT India 2017, which was held in the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), Mumbai, from September 26-28, received an overwhelming response, once again reaffirming that it's a leading environmental technology show in India. The fifth edition witnessed 6765 visitors, this marks a 30 percent increase compared to the previous year. This year also saw an increase in exhibitors and floor space: 184 exhibitors represent a rise of 29 percent and 33 percent more floor space, 8100 square meters.


After the success of previous year's, ISWA will again host a booth and organise side activities - see below for an exciting programme at the ISWA booth!


Two Special Sessions


Join ISWA for two special sessions organised by the International Solid Waste Association, The Energy & Resources Institute (TERI) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH:

Construction and Demolition Waste – Big in Volume, Small in Recycling



• Incentives and policies required to help create an alternate to the status quo
• Unlocking the economic potential of waste
• Solutions to the hurdles/challenges of waste management
• Opportunities at the local as well as the country level, to make the entire sector more resource efficient
• Best practices and possibilities of sharing technologies, keeping in mind the Indian financial and social realities.


The sessions will take place on the 16 October 2018, 10:00 - 14:00 in Hall 4, Innovation Exchange Forum​, IFAT India 2018 Bombay Exhibition Centre.

Special Session of ISWA Young Professionals Group in India



The ISWA Young Professionals Group invites you to work together with experts from the waste management sector from around the globe,and find solutions to local challenges.


The special session of ISWA YPG Careers in Waste Management and Annual Meeting will take place on the 17th October, 11:00 – 16:00 at IFAT India 2018, Active Learning Center Hall 4, Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC).

The purpose of the regional/local ISWA Young Professionals Group is to support local YPs with a focus on regional issues and particularly on awareness-raising of these issues to non-WM related audiences. Furthermore, the regional group aims to create a local network community of young professionals that provide mutual support and capacity building to the society and future professionals.
