Spring School 2019 - How to Design Solutions for Solid Waste Management Recap

The Istituto Cattaneo in Bologna, Italy, together with their industry partners: Suez, ALIA, and HeraAmbiente, under the Scientific Coordination of senior ISWA member Dr. Simonetta Tunesi concluded the 2nd edition of the Spring School - How to Design Solutions for Solid Waste Management - A Method and Tools for Low and Middle Income Countries with a really positive outcome.

 

Participants from Oman, Romania, Pakistan and Ghana had the possibility to understand and see first-hand how an integrated waste management system can be operated with high efficiency, guaranteeing environmental quality and cost efficiency to citizens. The operational experiences brought by participants from different countries enriched the dialogue and the discussion on the Bologna SWM system.

 

We also would like to thank all the public and private companies, who have contributed to the result!
