ENVAC Launches their New Brand

Mar 26, 2021 | All Working Groups, ISWA news

Since its first installation in 1961, the company has become the world’s largest supplier, with more than 1,000 installations and a 70% market share.

Envac, the global company for pneumatic waste collection systems, celebrates this year 2021 a double anniversary: the 60th anniversary of its first installation start up in the Stockholm Sollefteå Hospital and the 30th anniversary of the first system installed in Spain.

In order to symbolize this important event in its trajectory, Envac has carried out a remodelling of its brand image and its internet platforms to signify the disruptive nature of the technology that has transformed the concept of waste collection in many cities of the world.

Since Envac developed and installed its first system in 1961 at the Swedish hospital, the company’s activity has drawn a line of constant growth, becoming the world’s largest supplier of pneumatic waste collection systems, with more than 1,000 installations currently in operation on five continents and a 70% market share in this sector.

Its first system remains operational, just like those built in the 1960s and 1970s around the world. Throughout this time the company has continued innovating and incorporating new technologies in the inlet points, as facilitating the source separation or incorporating the ???pay-as-you-throw??? service. Likewise, Artificial Intelligence has been introduced in the control systems elements, thus adapting to the new smart cities??? paradigm around the world.

Joakim Karlsson, Envac???s CEO, comments: ???Envac???s success is the result of an international team made up of some of the best engineering and technological minds. However, Envac is ultimately a tool that can be used to create smarter cities, improve quality of life and help secure a greener planet for future generations. The waste collection landscape is shifting and I???m proud to say that Envac is at the cutting edge of this change. Our new identity will now play a significant role as we continue to dominate the PWCS market and increase market share.???

Furthermore, pneumatic waste collection technology has already become a standard service for present and future needs of 44 cities around the world. Cities authorities have seen in this technology the cleanest and most efficient solution to address the growing volumes of waste generated by a growing population in an environment with less space availability.

Carlos Bernad, Envac Iberia´s President, Envac subsidiary company that has installed more than 60 systems in 28 Spanish cities over the last thirty years, affirms, ???Envac continues playing a disruptive role in configuration and maintenance of smart and sustainable cities.  Envac is committed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The adoption of pneumatic waste collection systems will grow exponentially as much as cities prioritize on searching efficient solutions to solve the increasing waste volume and the essential preservation of environmental quality???.
