ISWA is delighted to welcome Beijing Chaoyang Environment Group Co. LTD as our newest Platinum member.

Located in Chaoyang District, Beijing, Beijing Chaoyang Environment Group spans nearly 3 square kilometres. As the only market-oriented enterprise in the district specialising in solid waste treatment and resource recycling, their business portfolio encompasses the disposal of municipal solid waste, kitchen waste, hazardous waste, construction & demolition waste and medical waste. They also provide recyclables collection, environmental protection facility operation, as well as environmental technology research, development and commercialisation.

They possess profound expertise in the planning, construction, investment, and operation of integrated urban waste management parks, alongside extensive experience in low-carbon advocacy and public education. To date, they hold 47 national invention patents, 21 utility model patents, 9 software copyrights and 2 registered trademarks.

Their company has attained EU NG Gold Certification. They are recognised as a National High-Tech Enterprise and a Beijing Specialised, Refined, Differential and Innovative SME, and host a Postdoctoral Research Station. They have been awarded more than 100 honours at national, provincial and municipal levels, including the EU Green Transition Contribution Award, National Circular Economy Education Demonstration Base, and one of China’s first pilot industrial parks for coordinated pollution and carbon reduction innovation. They have also delivered a national demonstration project for green and low-carbon technological advancement. Additionally, they launched Beijing’s first AI-powered intelligent waste incineration system.

They pioneered the concept of integrated park-based urban waste treatment. The Chaoyang Circular Economy Industrial Park, developed and operated by their group, is a national pioneer in the large-scale co-processing of diverse urban waste streams, with a daily treatment capacity exceeding 8,000 tonnes and near-zero overall carbon emissions.

The park houses multiple landmark facilities: a clean incineration centre designated as China’s sole benchmark case for national clean incineration standards, Beijing’s largest kitchen waste treatment plant, the city’s earliest fully enclosed fixed construction waste treatment plant, and Beijing’s first medical waste disposal plant and materials recycling centre. They are currently advancing a series of innovative projects targeting pollution control and carbon reduction, including the comprehensive upgrade of Chaoyang municipal solid waste incineration facilities, flue gas treatment renovation for Gao’antun waste management facilities, and integrated new energy development initiatives.

Moving forward, they will fully align with China’s national carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals. Committed to driving industrial progress through technological innovation and fostering a sound industrial ecosystem via conceptual breakthroughs, they strive to build a leading environmental enterprise with distinctive local features, solid regional heritage and global vision.
