Hi there! I’m so glad to be able to introduce myself to the (very warm and welcoming!) ISWA family 😊
My name is Saaiqa (pronounced saa-ee-ka) and I’m proud to be ISWA’s new communications manager. I was born and raised in Tanzania and have been based in Rotterdam since 2017. I moved to the Netherlands to pursue a degree in Media and Communications at Erasmus University Rotterdam and now look forward to continuing enjoying this city as an expat.
I’m very new to the waste game, so I hope to spend a lot of my time at ISWA learning and engaging in opportunities to become a more informed member of the waste management community.
In my spare time, I love to spend time with friends and try out different restaurants and cafes in Rotterdam. I also love watching football (excited to do this at pubs again soon, but for now my own TV will have to do!). I try to carve out some time to draw and paint, as well.
