ISWA is delighted to welcome Waga Energy as our latest Silver Member.
Waga Energy produces competitively priced Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), also known as biomethane, by upgrading landfill gas using a patented purification technology called WAGABOX®. The RNG produced is injected directly into gas distribution networks supplying households and businesses, providing a sustainable alternative to fossil natural gas. Waga Energy operates more than 30 RNG production units across France, Spain, Canada, and the United States, representing an installed capacity of over 3,500,000 MMBtu (1 TWh) per year. Each project developed by Waga Energy contributes to the fight against climate change and supports the energy transition.
“Addressing methane emissions from waste requires coordinated action. Waga Energy joined ISWA because its mission to advance sustainable waste management and the circular economy aligns closely with our work in maximising landfill gas capture and upgrade it into renewable natural gas. Through ISWA, we aim to exchange knowledge, contribute technical expertise, and collaborate with stakeholders committed to improving environmental performance worldwide.”
