Hello everyone, my name is Zhiren Ye and I am the new International Event Manager at ISWA. I am excited to join ISWA and continue the work of my predecessor Leonie Hoogland in building synergy among ISWA and the public.
I have always been passionate about bringing people together and making changes happen through joint efforts. In the past 4.5 years, I worked in large international NGOs as campaign and programme manager. And before that, I worked closely with communities in China on social impact related issues for another 3 years. I very much enjoy working and collaborating with people from diverse cultures and from different sectors. These experiences have equipped me with extensive knowledge and skills in event organizing and advocacy work.
On a personal note, I am a curious person and like to explore new experiences. While I express my artistic side through watercolor painting and digital arts, I also discovered my interests in sports such as bouldering and surfing. My friends describe me as an approachable and trustworthy person, so you can always come to me if you have questions or need support.
I am looking forward to meeting and working with many of you to bring our advocacy work to the next stage.
