ISWA at IFAT Munich 2026 – What is in store?
IFAT Munich is the world’s leading trade fair for environmental technologies, and this year ISWA is there again with an exciting stage and pavilion programme. Developed in close collaboration with our German National Member, including DGAW and Retech, the programme reflects the strength of ISWA’s membership network in action. Over the four days there are sessions on the Orange Stage and activities at the ISWA Pavilion in Hall A5 (Stand A332), tackling some of the critical themes in the industry.
From Rules to Reality: Reflections on India’s SWM 2026 Debate at IFAT Delhi
India’s Solid Waste Management (SWM) Rules 2026 came into force on 1 April 2026, replacing the 2016 framework with a significantly more ambitious agenda: mandatory four-stream waste segregation at source, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations for Bulk Waste Generators (BWGs), circular economy integration, and digital monitoring requirements. The question is no longer what the rules say. The question is whether the systems exist to make them work.
