ISWA-Germany is the German National Membership of the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA), represented by the two German associations DGAW and RETech. German RETech Partnership is the network of German companies and institutions from the entire waste management and recycling industry for the export of innovative technologies and the transfer of know-how. DGAW is a scientifically technical association to foster an ecological circular economy in the national economy, in companies, in municipalities and states, in research, teaching and further education as well as in public relations. By discussing how to solve technical, scientific and legal/organizational tasks in the ecological circular economy DGAW is an independent contact for industry and politics.

Both associations jointly hold the German National Membership. DGAW and RETech provide updates on the latest ISWA-Germany activities through their website, https://www.iswa-germany.de/. Additionally, they organize two webinars per year and regularly distribute newsletters highlighting all ISWA activities and events. Prof. Dr. Michael Nelles serves as the main contact person. He is the Chair of the Waste and Resource Management department at the University of Rostock, the Scientific Managing Director at the German Biomass Research Center, and a member of the boards of both RETech and DGAW.
