Recapping Residuos Expo, a regional gathering in Mexico dedicated to waste management. This event is like a melting pot of ideas and initiatives aimed at making our world cleaner and more sustainable.
At Residuos Expo, I was able to meet and connect with several longstanding ISWA members, fostering further collaboration within our active LATAM community. We welcomed new members into our fold, extending invitations and sharing insights about our upcoming World Congress in Cape Town. Alongside familiar faces, we forged connections with companies both seasoned and fresh to our cause.
Our discussions transcended borders as we engaged with representatives from Uruguay, Argentina, Mexico, Spain, and beyond. Delving into topics ranging from waste management strategies to regional challenges, we shared experiences and gained valuable insights.
A standout moment was the Beacon conference, expertly orchestrated by our colleague Francisco Galvan from Mexico. Here, we exchanged ideas, learned from one another, and explored innovative solutions to common issues.
Moreover, we took the opportunity to recognize the remarkable contributions of Atilio Savino, whose dedication has significantly impacted our work at ISWA.
Residuos Expo serves as a testament to the power of collaboration and collective action in the pursuit of environmental sustainability. As we reflect on our achievements and connections made, let’s continue to work together towards a cleaner, greener future.
