It’s always good to be back in Shanghai! With the good food, great company, amazing culture and of course, IE EXPO China. This year was yet another successful edition of the expo with over 2000 exhibitors and 100,000 visitors. ISWA was once again invited to have a stand at the EXPO, creating a great opportunity for our members to visit and use it as a meeting point to meet other members.
This time it was no less impressive, I reconnected with some of our members in the region who exhibited at the EXPO. Some of the few that were there were VEOLIA, SUEZ, JONO, Shanghai SUS Environment, and BGE
Some of our partners also visited us to discuss potential business opportunities as well. These visits are a great way to always stay connected to our members and I am always happy to meet our members.
After IE Expo, I also got the chance to meet with our National Member in China, CAUES. The meeting was a fruitful one, as we discussed the many ways they could be more involved in ISWA internationally. CAUES had also shared that they are organising their annual conference and exhibition in November focusing on the waste sector in China. During their event this November, there will be over 150 exhibitors and multiple side events. I am looking forward to this and hopefully will be able to have more connections made during the visit.
In case you missed us in China, fret not as ISWA will be having a bigger stand at IFAT Munich between the 13 – 17 May. We have some amazing programmes, side events and networking drinks planned throughout the week. We will also be having some international delegations visiting us. So don’t be shy and come by to say hi.
We are looking forward to once again meet you at our next big event. All members are always welcome to use our space to network.
