Meeting | ISWA Working Group Recycling and Waste Minimisation Meeting

The Working Group on Recycling and Waste Minimisation (WGRWM) addresses both minimisation of solid waste generation and the separation, processing and marketing of materials removed from the municipal solid waste stream.

The goal of this meeting is to reach out and engage with more ISWA members from Latin America. The meeting will discuss key recycling and waste minimization issues in the region. Also, a research project entitled, “How do disposal fees and other solid waste system characteristics affect rates of recycling in emerging economies” will be launched, and then determine if the project will be feasible or not in Latin America and the Caribbean.

This meeting is a closed meeting for ISWA Working Group on Recycling and Waste Minimisation appointed members only.

If your organisation is already a member, you can request to be appointed as a member of the Working Group, or join as an individual member and apply to join the working group. Please note, access to the Working Group as an individual member is not guaranteed.

Location of the meeting

The meeting will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The meeting will be held aligned to the GSTIC Conference. Members in attendance will have free access to GSTIC.
