Webinar: Celebrating Women in the Waste Sector organised by IWMSA

As South Africa commemorates Women’s Month in August, they would like to celebrate women in the waste management sector. On Friday 12th August 2022 at 09h00 a webinar will take place to discuss the many roles that women undertake to make the country a better place for future generations.

It promises to be a fruitful session of learning, through sharing experiences & inspirational stories by women that work in the waste sector. Women of ISWA’s national member IWMSA, aswell as members of the ISWA Women of Waste Task Team (WOW!), will share their experiences (national and international) and aspirations during the webinar.

Joining from ISWA WOW! is Georgina Nitzsche who will give a presentation, together with Leva Rucevska from GRID-Arendal, about ‘Informal Sector & the Plastic Pollution Problem – from peon to partner‘.
