Waste Management & Research (WM&R) ISWA World Congress Special Issue

Mar 1, 2022 | ISWA blog, ISWA news, Working Groups

The International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) is happy to announce a call for papers for Waste Management and Research’s ISWA World Congress Special Issue 2022. The next ISWA World Congress is being held in Singapore, 21-23 September 2022, hosted by the Waste Management and Recycling Association of Singapore (WMRAS).

The call for papers addresses the entire spectrum of waste management, waste technology and the circular economy in the broadest sense. The call is not focused on a particular region in the world, but due to this year’s conference location in Singapore, papers with a focus on South-East Asia are explicitly welcome.

All papers from the Special Issue will have the opportunity to be presented in the WM&R Special Session at the ISWA 2022 World Congress. Please note that WM&R does not support any travel and accommodation arrangements of presenters. However, all presenters will be offered a special discounted rate to the congress.

The papers published in the Special Issue will be available online and can be downloaded for free for the month of the congress, enabling a wide distribution and readership. SAGE and ISWA will promote the Special Issue via our media channels. No page charges exist.

Articles will be included in the index of major databases, including: Web of Science, Scopus and the Special Issues index on the WM&R home page. All submissions will undergo an expedited peer-review procedure in order to secure publication on time for the event.

If you are interested in having your paper included in the ISWA World Congress 2022 Special Issue, please, submit your paper via the WM&R online submission system. Please, refer to our submission guidelines before submitting your manuscript. The deadline for submissions is 31st March 2022.

For further inquiries and questions regarding the Special Issue, please, contact our Senior Editor-in-Chief Anke Bockreis or the Alan Encinas at the WM&R Editorial Office.

We look forward to reading your submissions!
